At Sugar Ridge Farm Nature Camp our mission is to provide a Christ-centered environment where children can explore, learn, and grow through a deep connection with God's creation. We aim to cultivate an appreciation for nature by guiding young hearts in foraging, plant and animal identification, and discovering the medicinal properties of herbs. Through hands-on activities like gardening, taking care of farm animals, and developing survival skills, campers will form lasting friendships, learn to work together, and nurture a love for the outdoors. We strive to teach kindness, respect, and stewardship of the earth, all while embracing the beauty and wonder of God’s world.
Our goal is to bring back all things nature and natural. We are passionate about teaching our kids skills that will serve them in life.
In a world where kids have their noses in screens and are rarely outside we are passionate about getting kids back into nature and giving them that 90’s childhood we all crave.
Sugar Ridge Nature Camp was first established in 2020. We saw the world shut down, closing parks and schools, and really felt called to open our farm for kids to explore and be outside. We had two successful years of camp before deciding to close in 2022 to make improvements. We didn't know what God had in store for us, but we are being led to reopen camp and are very excited to welcome campers back to an even bigger and better camp concept!
(This program is meant to be an enrichment and is not focusing on core subjects. This is not an accredited school, but a Nature Camp of play, creation, and exploration.)
